Dr. Danielle Abitz was born and raised near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She first moved to Michigan to play volleyball at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and fell in love with the area. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences at Western Michigan University in 2014. Dr. Abitz became interested in chiropractic after personally experiencing the relief chiropractic care can give. After working as a Chiropractic Assistant for a year, she decided to take the leap to pursue her new passion, starting the Chiropractic program at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington (NWHSU), Minnesota.
Dr. Abitz graduated Magna Cum Laude from NWHSU with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2020. While attending NWHSU, Dr. Abitz explored her interest in sports care by completing the Sports Emphasis program which included internships in the school’s multidisciplinary Human Performance Center, working with athletes of all ages from various sports teams.
Dr. Abitz has always had an affinity for helping patients get back to living life to the fullest by listening to their goals and incorporating both movement and healthy habits. Dr. Abitz believes that having a team of knowledgeable healthcare providers is vital for successful patient-centered care, and is very excited to have found such a team at Hartman Family Chiropractic.
In her free time, Dr. Abitz enjoys playing sports, gardening, spending time outdoors, and cooking with her fiancé. (Look for the switch to Dr. Clark coming July 2021!) Dr. Abitz is extremely excited to be joining the team as the newest Associate Doctor of Chiropractic at Hartman Family Chiropractic and serving the West Michigan area.
