TPI Screening - What to Expect (90 minutes total $160)

The TPI physical assessment uncovers the body-swing connection and can collaborate with Golf Professionals in a team approach to allow you to play at your best. If your body can't move correctly, it can restrict your golf swing due to a lack of strength and flexibility or muscle inhibition. Any limitation can put you at an increased risk of injury and inhibit you from reaching your maximum potential.

Full-body movement assessment with Dr. Hartman, Titleist Performance Institute Medical Professional

The process will take about an hour, starting with a current health and golf history, followed by 20-30 minutes of recording and assessing your swing mechanics and biomechanics—finally, the complete physical fitness and movement evaluation.

Once this physical assessment screening is completed, the results will create a plan unique for that golfer. You will return for a 30-minute report of findings and a personal training session to review your exercises. Then, using the TPI Pro app targeting the dysfunctions, you will better understand where you need to focus your routine to make the most gains toward a more efficient golf swing.

You will receive an email describing your physical findings and a golf fitness handicap. For example, if your golf fitness handicap is higher than your golf handicap, this will help improve by focusing on your flexibility and strength; if your golf handicap is higher than your fitness handicap, we would recommend you work with a PGA teaching professional on swing mechanics to improve your golf game. After the evaluation, you can decide what training routine works best. Proper training seeks to reduce muscular imbalance, and asymmetries found to combat the golf swing's one-sidedness. In addition, it will increase the mobility of the joints that need to move well in the golf swing, including the hips, shoulders, and upper back, strengthen and improve the timing and sequence of muscle firing patterns in the core, glutes, and legs. The plan may include fitness training, rehab, treatment, coaching swing mechanics and biomechanics, nutrition, mental strategy, or all of the above.

If you have tried other ways to improve your golf game with limited success, or if you continue to have re-occurring injuries related to playing golf, you can probably benefit from seeing a TPI Certified Professional.

ABOUT THE TITLEIST PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE

TPI is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to studying how the human body functions in the golf swing. Since its inception in 2003, TPI has analyzed thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts and discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player's body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury. TPI's mission is to educate golfers and industry professionals on the Body-Swing Connection™ through its one-of-a-kind 'TPI Certified' educational program.

TPI does not believe in one way to swing a club; instead, in an infinite number of swing styles. But, we believe there is one efficient way for every player to swing based on what the player can physically do. The most efficient swing is not the same for every golfer because efficiency is unique to each person's body.
